Built to Order
The construction of your biogas plant consists of much more than just the anaerobic digester. Additional system components are:
- Pumps, stirring systems, and substrate supply technology
- Primary and secondary digesters
- Cogeneration systems and digester heating technology
- System controls and system automation
All of these are especially assembled and completed by PPAD. We source all these components, deliver them to the site, install, assemble, using only the highest quality parts and materials. This entire control of engineering, procurement, construction, and project management forms the basis for a trouble-free system. This functions as intended, meets all the safety requirements under International law and requires minimal manual labour by the operator.
The heart of the system is the primary digester, which is a reinforced concrete vessel poured on-site.
This nationwide prefered material and method for constuction offers several significant benefits.

- Sturdy and secure mounting of the stirring equipment and piping
- Reinforced walls assuring long-lasting resistance against aggressive environment
- Optimal gas tightness through a specially designed rail to affix the gas membrane/diaphragm
- No joints in the wall to ensure that it will always remain positively air-tight
- The heating is directly integrated inside the wall, providing safe protection against mechanical stresses
- Since the floor slab has a conical shape, it can be drained easily
- The wooden upper structure provides secure support and ensures good that means low sulfid results
- If required, the center support column is directly anchored to the solid/stable floor slab

Planning
Proper planning is vitally important
We work with you to achieve the most technically and financially viable solution, taking into account your farm/enterprise and surrounding area. In planning your specific system, we take into account whatever unique opportunities or potential benefits that your area or your operation can contribute to this system.
Before a biogas system can be commissioned, it must be very well designed. Towards this end, we have a complete engineering office within our organization, which takes care of all the permits and approvals for you – as well as all facets of the construction/implementation.
We discuss with you the system concept, both by phone and also face to face
South plan applications are completed electronically, as well as construction drawings and specifications. During the entire approval period, our Civil Engineers partner with you for discussions with local authorities.
To Obtain Your Own PPAD Biogas System
To take the first step in this direction, simply send us a description of your own nature of business by fax or by email. Based on your information, we will then complete a financial analysis calculation. In case of a local deadline say, with a bank, the economical viability will be analyzed more accurately. A plant concept will be worked out for you and a conclusive installation/plant developed.
Following that, we will present you with a plan and business offer. Next, we will pursue the planning application for your biogas plant with the responsible authorities. We are your partners in all conversations with the participating local authorities until the necessary authorizations have been obtained.
During the authorization (permits and approvals) phase, we will present you with a commercial offer for building your biogas system/installation. In these meetings, the construction dates will be established and the technical specifications will be planned with the final details
At the same time, we will prepare for you the application to connect to the Local Electrical Distribution Utility or the responsible energy supply company in your area. We design all important technical and electrical interconnect details for you and offer you the optimal connection for the supply of electricity into the local grid.
